World Bank/Infodev – Global Train-the-Trainer:
In collaboration with the World Bank/Infodev, PCT created a series of Train-the-Trainer courses for Business Incubation Managers that include curriculum design, conducting skills, and learning management. In these courses, participants learn how to transform conceptual material into successful learning designs that are delivered in an interactive manner. These courses have been delivered throughout the world and are continuously adapted to local needs and cultures.
US Department of Labor – developed Training Institute:
Designed and Developed a Training Institute for US Department of Labor to deliver workforce development expertise to state and local governments.
- Trained internal experts in Design and Conducting Skills.
- Paired subject matter and design experts.
- Created a system and process for rolling out trainings.
- Provided the contracted support production and delivery services.
McKesson – Training to Go:
Generated a training design model for Fortune 50 company, as they integrated national and global acquired companies, to introduce tools that ParCenTra Resume 2 would skillfully navigate the changes that were coming – integrated set of planning communication tools that helped them collaboratively manage all the changes.
- The model included global training of trainers.
- Included themes that encouraged confidence in challenging situations.
- Included interactive games that involved all participants.
- Innovated the training cascade – ‘Training to Go’ – a method that sent every leader/ trainer everything they needed (training workbooks, training guides, materials for activities) to guarantee a duplicable, yet fresh, delivery of important corporate learning.
Genentech – Cascaded Learning:
Developed and deployed a Production/Operations-wide (4000 employees) cascaded learning on accountability for the leading bio-tech company. We designed three, one-hour long sessions with leader-led scripts and animated PowerPoint’s. These sessions, started at the Executive level, were taught/ facilitated in group meetings by each leader/manager to his or her direct reports, who in turn taught their direct reports, all the way to the front line.
West Coast Green Residential Green Building Expo and Conference
Helped craft the design and implement this cutting-edge conference and expo attracting 10,000 attendees that made residential green building attractive and compelling. Inspired or created the following elements over the five years of the conference. We:
- Pre-seeded collaborative initiatives through information, surveys, contests, and preliminary small-group meetings.
- Facilitated crucial conversations by creating conversation-evoking spaces and facilitating introductions through activities and networking events.
- Created an Action Hub providing participants with accessible ways to articulate, record, develop, and share passions and ideas.
Bayer Pharmaceuticals – Executive Retreat to Change Culture:
Designed components and retreat flow for a well-received (98% on the customer report card) three-day meeting of 240 top executives for a fortune 500 pharmaceutical firm (Bayer).
- Executive retreat introduced a major culture change effort; designed a training on creating and delivering a Compelling Message for Change.
- Focused on the concepts and coaching skills that management needed to develop and sustain the crucial employee behaviors that would support the change initiative.
- Redesigned retreat and trained trainers to roll out a one-day process that trained next-level managers nationally.
Kaiser Permanent Medical Center – Internal Service Agreements:
Co-designed, with the Medical Center Administrator of a national health care chain, an innovative program on Internal Service Partnering.
- Identified and taught the concepts, perspectives, and activities involved in creating and monitoring a client-centered organization.
- Taught managers how to develop effective service agreements with their internal customers.
- Strategy improved effectiveness and efficiency of the entire medical center’s managers.
- Service Agreements were then identified as a regional strategy.
Supercuts – intrapreneurial management training:
Directed a team that designed an intrapreneurial management training program for the internal salon managers of a NASDAQ retail chain.
- Included the design and delivery of a training strategy, workshops, training guides, self-directed workbooks.
- Increased each manager’s business orientation and capacity for innovation.
- Supported the acquisition of advanced skills in business planning, marketing, general and financial management, store operations, and human resource management.
CA County HRD Department – Proactive Team Behaviors:
Designed and delivered a series of workshops — Plays Well with Others — on proactive member behaviors in groups for a CA County HRD Department.
- Workshop and mid-workshop activities helped staff identify, develop, and apply effective behaviors in the groups they facilitated and participated in throughout the County and State.
U.S Forest Service Implementation Support: Consent Decree for Affirmative Action for Women
Bringing the US Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service Western Region Personnel System into compliance with affirmative action for women. Designed and facilitated region-wide conferences and training sessions to negotiate Decree changes and implement multiple actions across 17 Forests.
U.S Navy Demonstration Personnel Program Trainer Training
Developing implementation training for a demonstration personnel system for the United States Naval Weapons Center, a 5,000-person research facility. Trained managers to train small groups of employees over three years.
